September Reads

Yes, this post is running a bit late. I’ve got an entirely updated list coming up for October but luckily had this one saved in my drafts. Anyway, here were last month’s reads! The fiction side is entirely novellas. I’ve been feeling the quick read. I tend to get sucked into a story and can’t put it down. So when it’s a full novel, that knocks out a few days where I hardly get anything else done. At least with a novella, it’s only about one day before I get back to washing dishes and feeding my children (calm down, I never forget to do that, I just sometimes do it with a book in hand).

  1. Fiction:

  2. Noah’s Crossing series by Carol Voss

  3. Sweet, quick reads that give you glimpses of each couple in the next book. Fun for the “epilogue” addicted reader like myself.

  4. Kiss the Bride collection by Melissa McClone, Robin Lee Hatcher, and Kathryn Springer

  5. I’ve read 2/3 of the stories and found myself wishing for more in each one.

  6. Non-Fiction:

  7. The Enneagram, A Christian Perspective by Richard Rohr and Andreas Ebert

  8. I’ve read portions of this, particularly focusing on the types I’m currently writing

  9. Introverted Mom by Jamie C. Martin

  10. This book is absolutely wonderful for any introvert mom who needs a refresh. It’s reassuring to hear you’re not alone, and offers helpful tips for quick recharges when you have little ones around.

  11. The Highly Sensitive Child by Elaine Aron

  12. I just realized every non-fiction book on my list is about personalities. This one is helping me understand one of my daughters better and learn ways to work with her personality type.

Your turn! What’s your August reading list look like?
